I thought this video was pretty good/interesting. Good because it’s fairly basic and easy to pull off, interesting because I recently read something about how Dita Von Teese does her own makeup. Why do celebrities even bother claiming that they do things like that themselves?

It creates the impression they have some purpose other than standing still looking pretty. It creates the impression they have some kind of skill set.
It is a completely disingenuous deflection of our culture’s celebrity cult of personality in an effort to get -more- attention by seeming -ordinary- in the midst of being famous.
